In a time when the doors were closed and sealed for the majority of those who came in search of the warrior knowledge, Dr. Hatsumi and his senior instructors Fumio Manaka, Tsunehisa Tanemura, and Tetsuji Ishizuka permitted me entrance to their dojo.
